Okay I have a couple of poems for you and other little sayings from a movie,

'I have been one acquainted with the night. i have walked out in rain--and back in rain... I have looked down the saddest city lane. I have passed by the watchman on his beat and dropped my eyes, unwilling to explain and further still at an unearthly height, A luminary clock against the sky proclaimed the time was neither wrong nor right. I have been one acquainted with the night.'

The Fire of Love By Richard Rolle:

In all our actions and thoughts let us give  greater weight to all divine love than to learning and argument. For love delights the soul and sweetens the conscience, drawing it away from the attraction of lesser delights and the appetite for personal distinction. Learning without charity contributes nothing to eternal salvation but blows a man up to miserable perdition. May our spirit therefore be strong in taking upon itself hard labors for God; may it yearn to glow with wisdom eternal and to burn with that sweet flame which excites man to love and desire solely his Maker and be given powerful strength to despise all transitory things. Thus [the soul] puts away trust in the solace of things which do not endure,as one having there no dwelling place, but incessantly seeks that place ti come which is not made by hands, and cries " For to me to live is Christ and to die is gain."
